IRISH ECONOMY CONTINUES TO CONTRACT
According to figures released today by the Central Statistics office (CSO), the Irish economy continued to contract in the first six month of the year. However, the evidence suggests that the rate of decline may be slowing. Sharp falls in consumer spending and construction output were primareily to blame. Gross Domestic Product (GDP) fell 8.4% to €85.8 for the first six months of the year
